At Water’s Edge is one of those homes that’s instantly ready to welcome a houseful. It’s a beautiful lakeside holiday home in the Cotswolds, built for groups who want room to spread out without losing sight of each other. The kitchen can easily handle you all cooking together, and there’s plenty of table space for laying out picky bits if that’s more your style.

The flow of the house makes it easy for everyone to do their own thing without drifting too far. You might head straight for the sofa, with a drink in hand, to zone out after travelling. Or maybe you’ll choose to settle into the hot tub on your deck, with a bottle of bubbly, soaking up the calm of this peaceful lakeside retreat in the Cotswolds. Of course, at some point, you might feel obliged to slip off your shoes and paddle in the lakes. That’s a given, and something we highly recommend.

Did we mention that you have your own rowing boat too? You can experience the magic of rowing out on the glass-like water when sunsets hit, and the lake really sings.

Set within the beautiful Cotswold Lakes in the heart of the Cotswolds, you’re surrounded by over 180 lakes, woodland trails and quiet village lanes. The landscape feels open, green and peaceful in every direction. It’s the perfect space to be active and explore, ideal for cycling, paddle-boarding, or just walking and enjoying the abundant wildlife and fresh air.

South Cerney is only a few minutes away and is one of the area’s most established villages. Think traditional stone cottages, small, friendly shops, lovely pubs and delightful cafés. Tree-lined lanes and village greens all lead directly towards scenic lakeside routes, so nature’s nearby even when you’re shopping.

Cirencester is about 10-15 minutes by car and offers boutique shopping, restaurants, markets, and a rich sense of history. Kemble Station is also close, with direct trains into London, making this Cotswolds lake house spot practical for quick weekend visits as well as longer stays.
